Jessica Bagley, Bronze - 2022 IBA Women's World Boxing Championships

The IBA Women's World Boxing Championships 2022 took place in Istanbul, Turkey from May 8 to 20, 2022 with 419 boxers from 93 nations.
We are very proud that a fighter from our boxing club was the only Australian boxer to win a medal in this championship. Jess Bagley won a bronze medal for Australia!!!

This is an amazing achievement by a very talented boxer as a result of years of hard work, travelling interstate, overseas, training with and competing against the best in the world.

Jessica Bagley is a tireless and dedicated female boxer, but she is also a remarkable and beautiful young woman.

She deserves everything that comes her way, and good things are coming.

Enormous thank-you to firstly our sponsors. If not for your generosity, we would not be able to fund our much needed training camps. (Sam – Aspire Education, Jason Gabriel – Berties, Sid – SLC Bayside, Sam – Argyle constructions, Tony Gavan – Gavan Mcevoy,Alex Muravanchik, and Shane Pidoto – Chapel Fitness).

Our preperation in the USA was key. Massive thanks to Coach Jeffery Mays Jeff Mays in San Antonio. Everything you did for Jess behind the scenes is greatly appreciation. Thanks to Cameron at Davies Boxing Gym, for providing us with a great facility and tremendous training environment.

Huge thanks to Danielle Chambers and Darius for the sparring, partner-work. It was exactly what we were after in a training camp, and you guys delivered.

Thanks to coaches: Kevin Smith , Leisha Vaughan Dean Groth and Jamie Pittman for your work in the corner, and all the extra little behind the scenes things.

Lastly, to all the supporters around the world, who followed, tuned in sent messages of support, you guys are unreal and it doesn't go unnoticed.
